Curriculum

Starting in 2008, the Master of Science Program WASTE will have a new outline and a changed curriculum. You can find more information here.

Currently The curriculum of the WASTE program covers three and a half semesters.

Prior to the first semester, the pre-courses and entrance examinations take place as well as a six-week intensive German language pre-course of 180 lesson hours.

During the first semester, the Core Courses First are taught with 22 lesson hours per week.

In the second semester, the Specialized Areas are selected with 24 SWh altogether, i.e. 12 SWh per area. Every Specialized Area contains 8 SWh of core courses, which are completed by 4 SWh of elective courses.
The course selection is guided by an advisor to ensure that each individual's program is efficient and goal-oriented.

The Master Thesis, which is prepared during the third semester, covers about 20 SWh.

The first two semesters are accompanied by German language classes of 4 SWh.
